A week or so ago, I told you lovely ladies about my trip to Walgreens which resulted in the purchase of L’Oreals Extra Intense Liquid Pencil Eyeliner
and L’Oreal’s HIP Jelly Balm
in “plush.”
Well ladies, I am here to report that both products are absolutely wonderful, with the eyeliner being a standout product.
I’ve been using the eyeliner on my waterline since the day I got it. But today my friends, this liner proved itself a winner on a whole new level. I did an entire Bikram Yoga class with this stuff on my waterline (I didn’t wash my makeup off before I went, didn’t have enough time to do that.) The product did travel down a bit from my waterline, but stayed firmly in place on my bottom lash line without smudging or giving me racoon eyes. I couldn’t believe it when I left class and looked in the mirror and my face didn’t look like a meltdown of makeup. If this stuff can power-through a Bikram class, it might just be an HG product.
So, do I recommend this liner? Absolutely. Keep in mind I have ONLY used this on the waterline. It is very pigmented, easy to apply and the color, like the name suggests, really intensifies your eyes.
Here it is on my waterline (this picture was not taken today, but I am wearing the liner in it)
Love it! I really like the HIP jelly gloss, too. In the pot it looks like a bright baby pink with a bit of a shimmer to it, but the shimmer doesn’t show up on the lips (which is a good thing, IMO). It also smells nice and fruity. Overall, a good buy!
And…there it is on my lips. Just a soft wash of pretty pink color.
I also wanted to show you ladies a top I bought at Marshalls last weekend that I don’t think I posted yet. It’s a simple, long tunic-style racerback tank. The fabric is heavier, yet sheer. It cost $12.99 and I just wore it with simple black tights to run some errands over the weekend.
So simple! It’s such an easy top to just throw over leggings or jeans or to wear with shorts…and you can’t beat the price.
I also have an Outfit of the Day from this past Monday:

Top- J.Crew Victoria Ruffle Cami; Skirt- Ann Taylor; Shoes- BCBG
Hope you all have a wonderful day tomorrow (Thursday!)
xoxo,
Veronika.
That liner sounds great! I think I am going to purchase it as I have heard good things about it from my friends too! xoxo
I am always looking for new eyeliner recs, so I will definitely have to check this one out.
I received your giveaway package in the mail yesterday. Thank you again, I can't wait to try everything out!
Olivea- thank goodness you got the package! I got tracking on it to be sure it came in OK. Sorry the ribbons were just squished! and sorry for adding an extra "a" to your name on the inner envelope…it was a long day LOL!
I love your outfit from Monday! That ruffly top seems very versatile, good for day or night. Note to self: Stop by J Crew the next time I do a mall trip in Orange County 😉 Sadly, I don't have one near me.
the ruffle cami is definitely versatile! I wish I had gotten it in more colors. Maybe the next time I go I'll check if they still have them in stock.
I've forgotten about my leggings. I need to bust those babies out. I've been doing spare bedroom shopping lately but now you made me want to go to the mall tomorrow! lol
I love that striped top.
I love that top and the OOTD you posted! Im sure you know this already, but you have such great style.
Thanks for the reviews, gotta love the drugstore finds. Looks like it was a great "shopping excursion" at Walgreens. 😉
I have this top too, in navy, but I like the bright pink.
wow your second outfit is really nice! I love the colour and the ruffles. Btw would you mind checking out my blog? It would mean so much, its https://blog-isthenewblack.blogspot.com
thanks

love the j crew top and those bcbg shoes! were they a recent purchase?
That liner looks and sounds great! I have such a hard time getting anything to stay on my waterline. Will definitely have to check this one out.
I have that ruffle cami in the same color! 🙂
Hey V!
Is the eyeliner a pencil or is it a liquid liner… I looked up the link, but I'm still a bit confused. Looks like a pencil, but called liquid?
xo
K
kasia- it is a pencil, but it is called a liquid pencil. The forumla is really soft and applies easily and it is supposed to have the "intensity" of a liquid liner, I believe but in a pencil format.
Oh I love those shoes (BCBG) they are so perfect. The pink top is adorable too. As always!
Ahh, love your work outfit! That texture on the skirt is di-vine! =) xoxo
AAgh it's SO hard finding a liner for your waterline that lasts! I'll definitely check out this pencil! Love the OOTDs too, esp the pink ruffle top
Hey!! I have been using the same pencil on my water line for a while now : ) I love it, and not a bad price ( I think I paid around $7 last time??). Anyways, it lasts on me all day from 5:30am-10pm–amazing product. Good review!
V-this is a liquid liner you found for your waterline?
You look great, Love the J. Crew top with the black skirt especially!
andi- nope, it's a pencil, it's just called a liquid pencil because the formula is super soft and I guess meant to give a liquid "effect"
I love that J Crew top Veronika! the ruffle and the vibrant color give it a blend of girliness while still looking super summery 🙂
Love that striped tunic! You look adorable.
I am scared to put liner on my waterline (oh and I never knew there was a name for it)! This might sound like a dumb Q – but does it not get into your eyes?
And I agree about the J Crew top – very pretty.
tina- i've never had any problems with putting liner on my waterline. I don't think it gets into your eyes or anything. I've never noticed that at least.
