I am so proud of myself and my husband today! We worked as a team to pick-up, unpack and assemble our new couches. It was a lot of work, but in the end it was totally worth it and we are SO happy with these new additions to our home. These sofas make our room look SO much bigger than our leather couches did.
As a reminder, here is what the room looked like before:
Even with the addition of the new couches and a few new accessories, our living room is not yet complete. The desk we wanted was out of stock so we have to wait until next week to get that (it’s the 2 x 2 Console Desk from West Elm.)
My husband was even kind enough to feed my passion for couch pillows and let me get new ones. I’m obsessed with couch pillows and love to change them up once in awhile for a different look. I love the purple ones I got at West Elm so much, that I hope I never grow tired of them.
As you can see, we moved our Crate and Barrel media storage thing right underneath our television because we had to move it to accommodate the sofas. I like it better there anyways and had always wanted to move it there eventually, so I’m thrilled!
We were up until 2 a.m. Saturday night prepping and we cleaned all morning today. This is what it looked like when we brought all of the couch pieces upstairs.
and after I paid a visit to Z-Gallerie and Target for some accessories:
lots of pretty West Elm pillows:
New napkins and holder from Z-Gallerie.
so tired at the end of the day:
I absolutely love our new couches! They are so comfy. I am blogging from the corner part right now with my legs stretched out just like in the above photo! They are wide so you can totally nap on them.
Time for a pizza break for hubby and I! We’ve worked hard today.
Thank you for reading!
xoxo,
Veronika.
It looks fantastic!!I LOVE the tray set up, adorable! You table setting is so cute as well.
LOVE it! You are smart to take over the "money spot" on the couch (where the two lengths of the couch meet and where you get to rest with your legs up). We usually fight over that spot, haha!!!
anh- my husband tried to sit there and I gave him "the look" LOL and said "that's MY spot!"
Looks great! I love the purple with the grey. Very pretty.

Love the new couches! They look comfy!
wow! it looks amazing!! The tray setup is beautiful, and so are the pillows.
My hubbs and I were at West Elm today in Santa Monica, checking out this exact couch….it's so modern and the color is fantastic! He had to practically drag me out of there before I spent all of our hard earned money 🙂
wow!! looks great!!! and the dog–what a cutie!
Looks great V! Super chic and comfy, can't beat that! Congrats on the new additions, I know how exciting a new piece of furniture can be–Thrilling really 🙂
andi- it's totally thrilling! we are excited just to be sitting on them! amazing!
Everything looks great. I am totally in love with those napkin rings. They are so pretty.
FJ- they were $5.95 each plus 15% off at Z-Gallerie 🙂
You have a beautiful home and great taste. Love the grey/purple color scheme!
I love the couch. I'll have to check out West Elm the next time we're visiting the hubb's fam in Houston.
I do wonder though, if the couch would look a little better pushed over to the wall about three feet to the right? That space looks a little awkward to me. Maybe it needs a table or sideboard behind it?
Regardless, I LOVE the color, and your whole home is gorgeous.
Oooo so pretty! Love it all!
Congrats on the new additions! Your living room looks so purdy =)
Everything looks great! We're in the market for a new couch and nothing is catching our eye. Makes me happy to know we're moving to a state that has a West Elm! I also have that mirror tray from Target! I'm going to use it in our bedroom for all of my perfume.
ashley- that is where the west elm console desk is going (behind the couch) 🙂 we just haven't gotten it yet because it's back ordered. I will post more pics when we get it! 🙂
Makes more sense, Veronika. I really love the pillows. I wish they had a West Elm in Seattle…
OH WOW! Looks awesome! So chic! LOVE the new napkin holders…chunky bling! Love it! 🙂
Your room looks SO great!!! I'm also in love with your napkin rings!
I have a couch in the same shape but I like yours most! The color by the way is gorgeous! And the accesories you put!You have a really good taste!!
Looks beautiful Veronika!! My friends have a very similar scouch and its soo comfy, too!
Steph
I love it all!
& I just wanted to let you know that I enjoy your blog and I have nominated you for the Sunshine Award.
I love the mix of casual and elegant! Very classy and pretty 🙂
Eep! LOVE the new sectional! SO NICE!
Looks great and your decor is gorg.
What are you doing with your old couches?!
A.Co @ A.Co est. 1984
A.Co- we donated the larger 3-seater couch to a charity that gives low-income families very discounted furniture and we kept the other two pieces for a future (larger) home. They are at my husband's parent's house.
I love the couch but I find the grey couch against the different tone of grey walls to be sort of odd looking. Love the pillows though!
anon- we love it but it's not for everyone! the colors dont clash at all IRL
I love your tv and side cabinets. I hope you don't mind telling me where you brought it at? I hate the traditional media storage.
anon- they are both from crate and barrel (the black storage units). My friend wanted to get them and she told me they didn't have them anymore…but they probably have something similar 🙂 good luck!
Do you mind telling me where you got the mirrored tray for the table? I'm in love with it!
jennifer- the tray is from Target, $29.99
Love the couch! You did a great job decorating around it as well. I've found your blog while searching for reviews on this couch. We're thinking of getting it but my husband is worried that the back supports will move or be uncomfortable to sit against. We want to be able to lounge without feeling like the back supports aren't supporting us- you know? Any thoughts?
Thanks for the help!
@Johnny and Anakah- honestly they are great! I think if someone really leans back against them then yes, they will push back but my husband and I never have problems. We also have the west elm 2 by 2 console desk behind part of the couch. The supports are weighted so they work well. I really love the couch, no bad reviews here! 🙂
Thanks! I think we are about to purchase and hopefully love this couch too! I appreciate your thoughts.
Hi. I am considering buying this couch for my media/guest room. We would not have it against the wall, so are worried about the back rests. Now that you have had the couches for a while, what do you think?
There is an updated review on my blog. Just search "tillary" or "west elm" and it should pop up.
I don't recommend it.
Hi I love the way your couch looks. What color is that? I want the same one. Was that the couch that was in stock? Or was it special ordered?
Hu! How is your West Elm sofa holding up? I am thinking of getting a West Elm Paidge sofa and am wondering if it is a good buy.
I would not recommend this couch after having it for a few years
