It’s still cold in the mornings here (well, let’s be honest, I’m always cold, so anything below mid 70’s feels freezing to me.) I still have a space heater at my desk and use it daily. Everyone in my office likes different temperatures so I’ve learned the only way I can be comfortable is by having an awesome space heater. My boss got it for me this winter and I haven’t looked back since! I have an AC vent right above my desk and when the AC is on, it blows right towards me so I have to counter-act it. I’m going to be embarrassed if I have to use my heater in the summer, but I’d rather be comfortable!
I’ve been wearing boring basics all week (black dress pants, simple top and cardigan.) I think last week’s shopping trip left me feeling uninspired.
So today I decided to wear a dress and feel cute again. Here is what I wore:

I felt cute in this outfit. I needed an end-of-the-week pick me up. This did the job! I know it’s boring black, but I think the way it’s styled made it a bit more interesting. I really do need to step up the colors for spring though.
Does what you wear affect your mood? I find that when I make an effort, I always feel better and more upbeat that day. How about you?
xoxo,
Veronika.
Very cute! You're so stylish!
What I wear definitely affects my mood. Sometimes I get in a slump and go through a few days of dressing really boring, and I have to give myself a kick in the butt to start dressing "cute" again. I always feel much better when I've taken the time to put together a pretty, feminine outfit.
I like the way you styled that dress!
love the outfit!… admittedly I love to come home an put on PJ's or sweats immediatley after work. But on the days where I have to run errand or have plans I go home and change into jeans or whatever outfit I am going to wear, I feel so much better, it gives me energy almost as if my body knows it has somewhere else to go something else to do, when i put on pj's it just settles into lazy mode.. like…ahhhh my day is done and I refuse to do anything else
You look so cute!
Love this outfit! I admire that necklace every time you where it. I think it's about time I look into that etsy seller!
thanks ladies 🙂 olivea- it was only 45$! such a great deal. I want to get matching earrings now too!
You've definitely been inspiring me. I went out and got Lucky, Lucky, Lavender. I love it!
Love the belt! I have my little space heater on under my desk so don't feel bad lol.
FJ- are you always cold? I am constantly cold no matter where I am. It is so frustrating!
Wools meant to say I have it on year round.
Yes I am always cold. My thyroid levels are normal so who knows. Maybe I'm deficient in something or maybe it's normal for some people??
I've had my thyroid checked on numerous occasions and mine is normal too. Weird. I'm really tall so I thought it could be circulation.
Love the outfit! You always have the cutest clothes, reading your blog makes me want to go out and buy all new stuff 🙂
What I wear definitely affects my mood… sometimes if I'm not in a great mood I'll wear something that I love and hope that it makes me feel better. The warm weather tends to make me want to wear brighter colors, and brighter nail polish!
haha, your outfit is cute, but i really wanted to comment and say that i use a space heater EVERY time I study.
i get so cold sitting still, plus i'm always cold to start out with. my family makes fun of me, but I can't concentrate when i'm freezing!!
me either! I can't concentrate at all if I am in any sort of temperature discomfort.
Nice – love how you styled this.
YES! My outfit absolutely affects my mood. Sometimes I leave the house and regret what I'm wearing and it will throw a wrench in my entire day :S Sometimes I'm unsure which shoes to pack so I'll bring two pairs and by the time I get to work, I know which ones are, 'the ones' for the day 😉
PS – I have a space heater too!! Soo useful. And unfortunately, sometimes I have to use it in the summer… the AC is just SO COLD! Brr!
Love this outfit. I awarded your blog on mine..

Great outfit! My outfit and overall "look" definitely affect my mood. I always feel better when I make more of an effort.
I am the exact opposite…if it's over 72, I'm burning up. And let's not even get into the humidity factor. I have a panic attack every time I think about Summer. Reason #287 why I am not meant to live in Houston. sigh…
I, too, have been trying to amp up the colors in my wardrobe for Spring . I've been buying a lot of teal and purples lately. I'm making a conscience effort to try to break away from black/gray comfort zone, but it's hard. If I find a piece I know I love, I will buy it in black and a brighter color(s) (if available).
