Today I wore my new ruffle sleeve top that I blogged about yesterday in my Forever 21 haul. I just love this top. It’s a great top because it’s comfortable like a tee, but when you take off your cardigan, it doesn’t feel like just a plain ol’ t-shirt. It still feels put together and pretty.
It was gross and rainy here today, so I wore my trusty Express “Editor” pants.

I am actually blogging as I watch The Bachelor finale live. I just love this show. I’ve know who was going to “win” for several weeks now since Reality Steve broke the news. I get sucked in nearly every season, and every season I always find out who wins way before the finale because I just can’t seem to keep away from the spoilers.
One of the reasons I love the show, of course, is because of the abundance of fashions, hairstyles and makeup looks. 25 women all on one show is bound to bring a lot of different styles together (not to mention personalities, drama!)
I stumbled upon a blog recently that has a lot of Bachelor fashion posts so I thought I would share it with you all. It’s called The Possessonista. She has an interview with The Bachelor’s Rozlyn and I even found a link to Corrie’s blog from the show (she is a fashion stylist IRL- link to her personal website here.)
I’ve always thought it must be really fun to get chosen as a contestant for The Bachelor because think of all of the beautiful dresses you’d get to buy (and you’d have a place to wear them- hello rose ceremonies!) I always find myself buying all of these cute party dresses with no place to wear them since I’m not really into the whole club scene/going out and partying scene anymore. I’m going to make it my goal this summer to wear my fun dresses on date nights with my husband.
Speaking of The Bachelor, Jason and Molly from last season got married over the weekend. Their wedding will air on ABC next week, I believe, but here are photos from their big day in the meantime. You can see them here and here. I really loved Molly’s Vera Wang gown. The skirt of it was just stunning.
Did you watch The Bachelor this season? Let me know what you think in the comments below. I am a Tenley fan, have been from the start.
Before I go, I’m going to give a few quick updates.
#1- P90X- After my food poisoning, I thought it was actually a blessing in disguise to cleanse my system before fulling embarking on the P90X journey. My husband and I took the nutrition guide with us when we went grocery shopping on Sunday, and although we are not following the diet to a “t,” we are using it as a very strong guideline to make better choices.
Today, for example, I ate strawberries and peaches along with a string cheese stick for breakfast, with a cup of green tea. For lunch I had a turkey sandwich on whole grain bread with one slice of cheese. I had a few more cups of green tea after lunch and also ate some almonds as a mid afternoon snack. For dinner we had whole grain rotini pasta with marinara sauce and shrimp (yum!). For dessert I had a 140 calorie ice cream cone (the Nestle lil’ drums- I highly recommend them, it’s a big payoff for very little calories.)
I am not big on diets. I think they are way to restrictive and I absolutely love sweets so I need to keep them in my diet or I feel completely deprived. I eat some form of ice cream, candy or cookies on a daily basis, I just try to keep my portions moderate.
We did day one of the classic program today (arms, back and chest.) I think we did well. Push ups are always hard for me. I can only do them on my knees right now, since my upper body strength is not very good. I’m really looking forward to toning my arms more.
#2- Clarisonic– I absolutely love my Clarisonic. I feel the cleaning power you get from a Calrisonic really does clean deeper, which is why my pores are smaller. I definitely can’t imagine not washing my face with it before bed. It is a wonderful tool. I never experienced any breakouts and overall my skin has improved. I still get dry patches and red areas, but they have decreased since I’ve started to use it. I also notice I am not reaching for my facial self-tanner as often as I used to, which I guess it due to the more even-toned skin I’m experiencing after using the Clarisonic.
If you have any questions about P90X or the Clarisonic, or you’d just like to gossip about The Bachelor, please leave me a comment below.
xoxo,
Veronika.
I love that top. I'm going to need to go to Forever 21 and pick myself up one.
I'm watching The Bachelor now too! And I too read Reality Steve so I know who he picks! Eeeeek! That top (forever 21) is SO pretty, btw! I actually have a Clarisonic – I got it like two years ago, BUT…I never really noticed a difference and have since stopped using it. I think I might start back up though – buy a new head and maybe a different kind of cleanser. See if that makes a difference! Do you use the clarisonic cleanser with it? Or a different one?
stacy- I use my regular cleanser (la roche posay effaclar a.i. and also neutrogena acne stress control foaming wash)
Ugh I'm a Bachelor junkie too… (actually sad to admit haha), however I've been following the Possessionista all season and aside from the obvious BCBG (Allie) and Nicole Miller (Corrie) dresses, it's really interesting to see what the girls are wearing and their price points… like holy shoe collection Ashleigh! haha…
I got a Clarisonic around the same time as you, I'm also happy with it so far.
Thank you for your feedback about the Clarisonic and P90x. I have heard of both and now want to try them out! Have you heard of that other workout called the Insanity? I guess it's often compared to the P90x workouts.
I'm so excited for the Bachelor wedding next week. i've already set my tivo!
kinsey- I've heard of the insanity workout…maybe after P90X is done we will try it. I love working out with my husband, it's actually really fun!
hayes- I've heard all of Ashleigh's shoes are jimmy choos!
I have read so many great reviews of the Clarisonic that I have finally decided to get it. It sounds fantastic. I do worry about initially breaking out though, so I might wait until after my wedding to start using it.
Love the ruffle F21 top, so cute!
Yeah Manolos and Jimmy Choo's, here's her interview with Dana…

Olivea, for what its worth, I started using the clarisonic only on my T-Zone, then slowly worked down to my chin and cheeks to get me skin used to it. I think V also said she 'eased into it' – maybe she can give some pointers!… good luck 🙂
hayes- thanks for the link 🙂
and right you are- I did ease into my clarisonic use and stayed away from my chin for the first few weeks. I think you just have to be mindful of areas where you tend to break out and slowy work your way to using the Clarisonic on those areas. Good luck 🙂
E and Veronika – Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it!
Awwww that's too bad it was short on you ;( I hate finding something I really like, and then realizing that it doesn't work on my body. I'm a shorty (5'2) so the skirt hits just above my knees. I love the ruffly top you have on though! That color is so perfect for Spring.
beautygirl- I wish it fit right! it really is a gorgeous skirt. So jealous and it looks great on you! 🙂
I love love LOVE Express Editor pants! I have a really hard time shopping for pants for work (and jeans in general) but these are fabulous – I can go into the store and pick up a pair and know that they will fit without having to try them on.
Annnnddd a friend of mine was being considered for this past season of the Bachelor! She ended up choosing to go to grad school instead (smart decision, I think) but it was still fun to hear about it.
Lindsay- my best friend was also asked to be a contestant but she turned it down because she didn't want to leave her job.
OMG I had to comment on the dresses! I am totally the girl who will buy bajillions of cute dresses and high heels without even thinking about where to wear them! I have a BCBG dress that I bought two years ago and I still haven't worn it yet. My fiance will actually tell me "No dresses" every time we enter a store! lol~
whitney- we are so the same! I love dresses. I've been focusing lately on buying dresses that are work appropriate so that I can wear dresses all of the time but they aren't "going out/party" dresses.
I don't watch the Bachelor (or much tv at all really), but I have to say that Molly's wedding dress was stunning! The skirt is beautiful.
We're still trying to decide on investing in P90X, but my husband is becoming more and more interested.
cassie- check your local craigslist- my best friend paid half what we did for it (we got it new from beachbody.com)
I love buying dresses too. It all started when I was engaged and I had excuses to buy dresses, a dress for the bridal shower, for the bachelorette party, the rehearsal dinner, etc.
I am loving the OPI Lucky Lucky Lavender. I wasn't feeling the Hong Kong collection until you raved about that color and I decided to try it since I have a similar skin color to yours. I'm so glad they hadn't sold out of it and for your review!
IMHO, the Forever XXI in Willowbrook Mall is the best one that I have been to. The one in Memorial City Mall is a second for me. Baybrook isn't worth much. I have never been to the one downtown so I may be missing out though.
I was at the pavillion location Saturday night!! Everytime I go I fall in love with the peach ruffle top all over again…. *sigh*. Love your finds!!!
you should totally try sugar free jello pudding for your sweet tooth fix, or the new mousse ones! Only 60 calories! Total life saver for my fiance and I 🙂
So glad you are loving the Clarisonic, yay! Your 'diet' sounds really healthy and balanced. What brand of green tea do you use? I really need to start drinking more of that. Best of luck with the P90X journey!
The lil drumsticks are a great tip, I love ice cream but I think it goes directly to my ass and thighs–it's the strangest thing!! haha
PS-my daughter picked out the key necklace for herself from F21 yesterday and I thought of you 🙂
I have to agree with Whitney on the Willowbrook Mall location. It's worth going if you are up for a little bit of a drive!
First of all, I was Tenley all the way too 🙁 So sad. I really really really thought he was going to choose her.
Your food sounds good, throughout the day, but are you hungry? That's not much for breakfast… don't underestimate oatmeal (add fresh fruit and sweeten it with MAPLE SYRUP), it's really filling and sticks with you. And I COMPLETELY agree on the treat. I cannot live without those… last night I had a smallllll (ya right) mini egg attack… LOL.
P90X – my gf has started this, I hear it's INTENSE! Keep us posted 😉
The top looks great, btw! 🙂
Hi Veronika! Thanks for the shout out.
Molly's wedding dress is Monique Lhullier!
Love the F21 shirt and live in my editors. Fashion soulmates.

I'm really glad the Bachelor is over. I cannot stand Jake and my DH is a pilot, so all of the "pilot pick up lines" were making me gag… I'm so stoked about Ali being chosen for the next bachlorette! She's SO cute…not as cute as Jillian though, but yes…good for Ali! 🙂 P90X is still tugging at my wallet strings….I want to try it…
dana- thanks for visiting my blog and thanks for the MH update, I must have had it wrong! (about her dress)
thank you for your comments everyone 🙂
