I read a lot of celebrity blogs like Just Jared, WWTDD, Perez etc. I love seeing what all of the celebrities are up to…and particularly what they are wearing and their hair and makeup.
I was on Just Jared the other day and saw these gorgeous pics of 90210 actress AnnaLynne McCord.
I immediately fell in love with her makeup (click to enlarge, all images courtesy of Just Jared):
I think she looks young, fresh, glowing and perfectly made up, without looking overdone. The look has actually inspired me to want to try black liner just on top, and not line the bottom of my eyes as well (which I haven’t done in a long time.) I love the rosy, glowing cheeks, perfectly pink pout and lush lashes. She just looks really gorgeous and is a great example of how to enhance your features without masking them.
I always love to share gorgeous celebrity makeup looks with you all for inspiration. What do you think of her look? I also love her wild volumized curls. I can see this hairstyle not being popular with everyone, but I absolutely love it!
In other news, Heidi Montag, who recently underwent 10 plastic surgeries (in one surgical session) revealed her new look at an event:
I think these photos speak for themselves. I don’t like to make negative comments about other people’s appearance, but it does make me sad that she felt so insecure with herself that she decided to change her face completely, right down to pinning her ears back. I think she wants that “Playboy Bunny” look, but I preferred her as a California girl who had a more natural look. By the way, I realize her surgery is “old news” but these photos are from a recent apperance and her face must have settled more by now, giving us a more accurate view of her results (though, it can take up to a year to all settle.)
I remember some of the first “Hills” episodes where Heidi and Lauren lived together, and she was just so cute then. I admired her looks and style back then, but I could also sense she was insecure.
When she had her first rhinoplasty and breast augmentation, I thought “good for her, she’s tweaking two features she’s a little bit insecure about.” I never would have imagined that just 3 years later she would have 10 more cosmetic procedures done. She made a lot of comments in her interviews that she had her chin done because people on blogs were always commenting on how huge it was, and circling it in photos. It makes me feel sad that she let people influence her to that extent.

I'm sorry, I hate making negative comments as well, especially because women have so much pressure to look good at all times. But Heidi just makes me sad now. I loved her when she first started the Hills. She had that cute, SoCal vibe going on. Now, she just looks so unatural and fake. It's too bad really. I'll never look at her the same way again.
beautygirl- she was SO SOCAL! I loved that about her. Remember when she had the shorter (darker) blonde hair, and rocked her roots and was just super beachy-chic? loved her.
I love Annalynne's hair as well. When she was on Nip/Tuck, it was always styled very wild and curly, I loved it!
The Heidi situation is just sad. I don't necessarily think she looks bad, but it is sad just how different she looks.
Yeah, I totally agree– I'm really not a fan of plastic surgery in the first place, but I thought she looked great after the first round. This time, though, it's obviously too far and it's really sad. She's even thinking about more, which could seriously affect her health (like take her life!). Yipes.

Interesting that you mention both girls in one post. One who used to be on Nip/Tuck and one who needs to stop NipTucking.
Heidi looks a *smidgen* better than her People magazine cover. She looks a bit more like her old self now. But, her boobs! They're so huge on her tiny frame! Good grief…she'll have back pain when she's 30 and that's really sad.
I love getting ideas for makeup looks and hairstyles from celebs–Carrie Underwood is my personal favorite:)
As for Heidi, I just feel very sad for her. I'm afraid she is going to have even more surgery and wind up looking like a cat/alien. The problem is not with her outside appearance but what she feels on the inside. And why do I think Spencer has a lot to do with why she had surgery? 🙁

And I, too, hate to make negative comments about other people's appearances, but it's such a stark contrast between the first set of photos – a beautiful, natural-looking girl who doesn't appear to have done anything drastic to herself but works what nature gave her … and then Heidi.
Looking at Heidi's "after" look makes me sad. She was so cute before, and after her first implants and nose job, she looked good. I can understand doing a little bit of tweaking if it's something YOU want for YOU. I will have a breast lift & reduction someday and would never disparage another woman for doing something about the size of their chest, big or small, if she does not feel comfortable with what nature gave (or didn't give) her!
But … Heidi has just gone SO far and looks so unnatural, and it's sad to think that she will do more in some misguided quest to look a certain way. All that surgery doesn't look like it will age well, and what will she be left with then? A never-ending cycle of nips, tucks, and insecurity. 🙁
Heidi just made herself look 15 years older. Now she looks like a 35 year old who had plastic surgery to try to look 23 again.
Verona, I think you should try the eyeliner on just the top lids and post pics. I think you will feel like it makes you look more natural and feminine. Your face makeup always looks so natural and glowy but I will say that sometimes your eyes can look a little harsh. Try the less in more approach. Who knows, maybe you will like the look of it more. 🙂
anon- I definitely love the look of full liner (top and bottom) but on a daily basis I just use a soft brown shadow on the bottom so the line isn't so stark.
I might try it, but I've tried not lining the bottom before and I didn't love it…might just have to try a thicker line on top.
chelsea- I didn't watch nip/tuck and didn't realize she was on it until someone here pointed it out…but interesting coincidence indeed!
Love that makeup look on AnnaLynne! Just gorgeous! As for Heidi, I agree with the previous commenters, it's just so sad! I too am not against plastic surgery if it's something you really want that will make you feel better, but this is very extreme. I can't even hardly stand to look at the new pictures of her! I agree with whoever said that it seems like Spencer had a lot to do with this. He's disgusting! Poor Heidi, she was beautiful to begin with.

I think Heidi did go too far. A little plastic surgery is ok, and I think she still looked good after having her 2 original procedures, but now she just looks fake and unattractive. It's really sad. She was a pretty girl and I think she's really ruined her looks.
Oh…about the eyeliner on top only. I've tried this recently and I feel the same way as you, Veronika…I just don't love it for me. I feel like my eyes look puffy and sleepy without liner on the bottom. Good luck if you try it again…maybe I'll also try a thicker line on top and see how it goes!
Rach- it definitely isn't for everyone. I feel like I look like I'm 12 when I don't wear full liner. I just try to do it in a softer way now (always browns for the day and thinner lines on top and bottom)
I love AnnaLynne's makeup here. In the interviews I've seen with her, she seems a little odd. But I can say she looks great here. Hair and makeup. I think I'll try this liner look tonight for work.
As far as Heidi goes, I never thought she was a great looking girl, but I liked her natural girl next door look compared to this insanely plastic look she's got going on now. In my opinion, there are very few plastic surgery procedures that give natural looking results. I think surgeons have come leaps and bounds in improving the appearance of prospects, however a surgeon still isn't nature.
AnnaLynne is always a toss up for me, sometimes I feel she looks gorge (above) but other times she looks old? Its weird.
Nonetheless, I can totally see why Heidi had the first breast augment done and that's fine like previous commenters said if you are doing it for YOU…which I'm sure she did. But that whole comment about the blogs circling her chin – really? I mean who cares, its a chin? I never ever noticed it so it couldn't have been that bad. it is sad that she did all that based on influence from other people, strangers nonetheless. I agree, also, that it has aged her tremendously. Poor thing.

Veronica, I think it was good you brought up the issue of plastic surgery, especially with Heidi's case. It is such a sad situation, and seems like her decisions are all based on superficial needs, like she's really buying into her show and her persona as someone famous. It's just crazy to me because she is just another person, just like you and me and all the readers here. I think that if she had never taken part in the show, she would have just continued with the insecurities and outgrow them, just like the rest of us. Everyone has insecurities, no one's perfect, and for those who have tried to reach perfection, it's hardly ever turned out good.
It's taking things too far, and in my personal opinion, taking herself too seriously. Someone above posted that she looks like someone older trying to look younger, and I couldn't agree more. So many are trying to look younger, and she's only under 25 so I can't believe she's caring so much about changing her appearance.
Sorry for the rambling, it's just that this is ridiculous and a testament of where most of these reality-show players are headed.
DEA- thanks for your comments. As you may or may not know, I am very much FOR plastic surgery, having had it myself.
However, I think plastic surgery should only be performed on people who have a healthy state of mind about it and are doing it for the right reasons. There are people who are truly born with a very large nose or ears that stick out a lot or other appearance issues that therapy would never rid them of their insecurities. I say if someone has a large bump in their nose and wants to have it shaved down to feel more confident, great. But when someone wants to change every single aspect of their apperance, that is where the problem lies. At that point, the person is not going about it in a healthy way, and probably has signs of body dysmorphic disorder.
oh dear, i really hope heidi stops doing any more surgery. ugh, she was so cute to begin with!! she'll end up looking scary, like joan rivers or michael jackson
The saddest part about this entire situation is that she can find a doctor who after these 10 surguries will agree to perform more on her.
Verona, how many plastic surgeries have you had?
anon- I have had one plastic surgery procedure, a breast agumentation in 2007. I do not plan to have any further surgeries but am no opposed to using fillers and or botox when the time comes.
I love Anna Lynne (and admittedly, LOVE 90210!). I really like her look, she is naturally very pretty. I've always studied her style very carefully on 90210- she always has the most amazing make-up, hair and nail polishes!

No, I have not had any type of surgery on my nose. I am of eastern European descent, and that is my natural nose 🙂

I love AnnaLynne's hair and make-up! I would like her to gain a few lbs though! I know that she has commented that at this point in her life she has an awesome metabolism….hopefully she is not doing any extreme diets. I feel bad for Heidi when she said in an interview that her mom was looking at her like a circus freak. I think she has major body dysmorphia and really frown on the doctor that allowed a 23 year old to do so many plastic surgeries. She is going to look like Joan Rivers by age 40! Veronika- love your nose and I think your choice in size for your breast augmentation is flattering without looking fake. If you didn't disclose it, I'm sure most people would be left guessing. I am considering breast augmentation but am worried that you may need to have them re-done regularly (every 8-10 years?). I also think I may wait until after I have children and then re-assess the situation!
thanks anon. I agree all of the girls from 90201 were super thin at one point. I think AnnaLynne is naturally petite but i'm sure she diets.
I think I chose a good size too. I'm lucky to be tall so it looks more proportionate I guess? I chose not to wait till after kids, because I was just so small that I knew nothing would change. good luck with your decision!

I love AnnaLynne. She's got a different look and I'm sure it's not for everyone, but I think she's beautiful.
I'm not going to say anything negative about Heidi because I love her and feel sorry for her. Poor thing doesn't realize her own self worth. As others have said it just makes me sad.
