I have a few blogs I am going to write today, so I’ll start with an OOTD post (from Tuesday)
Firstly though, I will discuss Essie’s “Mesmerize” nail polish. I was quite surprised to find how wonderfully it applied, since I had some issues with Essie’s “mint candy apple” which was a bit streaky on the first coat (but I do LOVE the color of it). I used two coats of Mesmerize and a topcoat. It went on smoothly, with no streaks. I really enjoy this color, it is a nice change from the deep purples I usually wear in the fall/winter. Here are the photos:
i am in love with that outfit, the pearls, the blue tights and the studs on the belt..I love it!
I love the outfit, and I really like that nail color. It's not at all what you'd expect…in a good way!!
xoxo!
I don't like the blue tights at all. Sorry…
anon- no need to apologize, it's not for everyone! 🙂
they are also a bit more of a purple-ish blue IRL, not that that changes anything 😉
I love that polish! After a few years of non-polish I recently started doing my own manicures and got brave enough to try dark browns, greys, reds, and purples. And of course I *love* the colored tights…I know they aren't for everyone, and I imagine that wearing black tights are probably more "flattering" on me than colored ones, but I can't help it. So much more fun. (And…I spy a little pup!)
Sorry, I'm just not a fan of this outfit. There is too much going on; it reminds me of a little girl that played dress up in her mom's closet.
anon- it definitely isn't and outfit for everyone. I've worn the same dress with black tights, and a wide black belt from Club Monaco, and it was a bit of a simpler look, that more people would probably like. I actually think not wearing the pearls might have been a better look. Oh well, you live and learn right!? 🙂
When accessorizing, always take off the last thing you put on.

Thanks, anon, I've heard that expression before.
